Our Story
We (Sarah and Belinda) opened Skopa - The Zero Waste Place in the heart of Wirksworth in Derbyshire in January 2020.
We both live in Wirksworth and were brought together by our common goal to reduce waste by opening a packaging free shop that offers something for everyone with sustainability at its heart.
Product range
Skopa sells a large range of dried foods (such as pulses, grains, cereals, dried fruit, herbs & spices, coffee and loose-leaf teas). Also available is a selection of oils, vinegars and chocolate goodies and savoury snacks.
A completely zero waste cleaning product range is available called Miniml (check-out our customer recommendations on our Facebook page!).
We also sell everyday and household items that help you reduce unnecessary packaging or the need for single use plastic and other items that otherwise would end up in landfill.
Our shop has a large range of modern dispensers plus smaller containers with scoops.
We understand the importance of sourcing our products carefully with affordability and sustainability in mind.
We've added significantly to the range of sustainably sourced products that are available in Wirksworth since we opened, and we continue working on this to provide our customers with the best range possible.
